Job Title: Data Migration Consultant
Location: Remote (Must reside in the United States)
Duration: 5 ½ Months
Work Hours: 40 hours/week (8 am – 5 pm)
Background Check: Required prior to hire, applicants must pass a Criminal Background check
Passport number is mandatory

Position Overview:

Our client, a nationwide IT consulting company, is seeking a Data Migration Consultant for a 5 ½ month contract role. The position is fully remote, but candidates must reside in the United States. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data migrations, ETL concepts, SQL, and business analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• SQL Development: Write complex SQL queries, functions, and/or views on various data sources.
• Data Understanding: Develop a strong understanding of target system architecture and available APIs for loading data.
• Solution Contribution: Contribute to solutions for loading data into the target system.
• Process and Tool Development: Assist with process and migration tool development as needed.
• Data Analysis: Analyze source and target system data models.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Data Migrations: Minimum of 3 years’ experience with data migrations and understanding of ETL concepts.
• SQL:
• Writing complex queries and database views.
• Performance tuning of queries.
• Data analysis and reverse engineering data models.
• Business Analyst Skills:
• Requirements gathering and documenting.
• Application testing.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with both clients and partners.

Preferred Experience:

• Microsoft SQL Server
• Oracle
• Programming Experience: Java
