VMware Cloud Foundation Infrastructure Consultant The VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Infrastructure Consultant is responsible for the implementation and configuration of the infrastructure components of the base/baseline VCF solution. This includes vSphere, vSAN, VLAN backed networks, and OVA appliances including SDDC Manager, vCenters, NSX Managers, Edge Clusters, Aria Automation, Aria Operations, and Aria Operations for Logs.
Requirements and Qualifications
● 3+ years experience implementing and configuring vSphere environments. In lieu of years of experience, candidates must have participated in over 6 vSphere project deployments.
● Experience deploying and configuring data center networks or implementing/troubleshooting networking solutions involving LANs, VLANs, WANs, routers, switches, and firewalls.
● Deployment and implementation of VMware vSAN clusters in a vSphere environment.
● Hands-on installation and configuration knowledge of Aria Operations, especially with dashboards and alerts, and Log Insight
● Experience with deploying Aria Automation, configuring service catalogs, and integrating Aria Automation Orchestrator.
● Familiarity with installing and configuring disaster recovery solutions using Site Recovery Manager and/or VMware Live Recovery.
● Must be comfortable with routine interactions with customer technical team members
● An active listener with excellent and confident communications and interpersonal skills with an ability to read complex customer situations and adapt as needed Preferred
Qualifications:-
● Valid VCP-DCV Certification
● 2+ years experience with VMware NSX, or 3+ deployment projects involving NSX. ○ CCNP or equivalent is also acceptable.
● VMware Cloud Foundation implementation experience and familiarity with VCF topology models, CloudBuilder, and SDDC Manager
● Ability to provide leadership and best practices as well as lead the customer on technical, product-centric topics.
