Job Title: Versa SD-WAN System Architect
Location: Dallas, TX (Remote)

Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Versa SD-WAN System Architect to join our team. This role will involve designing, deploying, and optimizing Versa SD-WAN solutions. You will work closely with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure successful implementations and provide technical leadership.
Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and optimize Versa SD-WAN solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, collaborating with customers and stakeholders for successful implementations.
• Analyze, design, and develop technical solutions to customer-reported problems and internal issues.
• Assist L3 support and customers in resolving product and network problems of varying complexity.
• Replicate customer issues in the lab environment and coordinate with OEMs to test potential fixes.
• Perform hands-on testing to validate customer proof-of-concept setups, network designs, and deployments using new products and features.
• Develop and define best practices for network infrastructure and SD-WAN design.
• Set up network infrastructure and create knowledge articles.
• Write Bash/Python scripts as needed.
• Validate hot fixes and provide recommendations to the operations team.

Technical Skills

• Good understanding of the architecture, components, and functionality of the Versa SD-WAN platform.
• Ability to configure and provision Versa SD-WAN devices and services.
• Versa Concerto Orchestration:
  • Proficiency in using Concerto's lifecycle stages for configuring, deploying, monitoring, and managing SD-WAN deployments.
  • Understanding Concerto's hierarchical configuration structure, including master profiles, sub profiles, policies, and rules.
  • Ability to create, configure, and manage SD-WAN tenants within Concerto.
  • Familiarity with Concerto's API for automation and integration.
• Hands-on experience managing device configurations, software upgrades, and other administrative tasks.
• Proficiency in using tools for SD-WAN management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to identify and resolve SD-WAN performance issues using Versa Director and Versa Analytics.
• Hands-on experience with IP networking, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, L3VPN, DHCP, DNS, NAT, BFD, Application-Aware Routing & QoS), and switching (VLAN, Trunking, Dot1x, various flavors of STP, VxLAN).
• Solid understanding of the TCP/IP protocol suite.
• Strong understanding of IPSec VPN/SSL-VPN/NAT/GRE.
• Experience analyzing traffic and packet flows using packet analyzers (Wireshark, tcpdump, etc.).
• Understanding security logs, vulnerabilities, CVEs, and threat maps.
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
• Good understanding of virtualization, SaaS, IaaS, and related technologies.
• Experience in managing, supporting, and deploying network infrastructures.
• Strong ability to diagnose complex server or network issues.
• Basic understanding of hardware and system-level troubleshooting.
• Experience with hybrid cloud network deployments (AWS, OpenStack, GCP) is a plus.
