Role: ETL Engineer

Location: Fully Remote/Occasional Travel Required

Duration: 12 months, candidate should be open to idea of conversion to direct hire after contract

Visa Restrictions: USC or GC required.

Qualifications:

• Understands relational database architecture concepts and data modeling tools.
• Expertise in SQL code, SQL Integration Services administration and complex ETL project design. (THIS IS “ON PREM” SQL)
• Demonstrated proficiency in designing and developing databases, data movement, data replication, views, stored procedures and SSRS solutions.
• Experience using SQL Server 2017 and above, as well as in a virtual environment.
• Knowledge of Windows server platforms.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships.
• Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, multi-task and manage time with multiple priorities.
• Passion for learning new tools and technologies.
• Strong analytical skills to support effective business decisions for continued growth and prosperity.
• Prior experience supporting Microsoft .NET applications is a plus.
• Prior experience in the health care or health insurance industry is a plus.
• Prior experience integrating with Snowflake cloud EDW a significant plus.

 Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise in the use of database/ETL technology and tools.
• Build and document ETL solutions from determining business requirements through deploying test and production systems.
• Code ETL projects to include data quality processes and summary error notifications.
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics, recommending database resources to achieve optimum ETL performance.
• Interface with clients, network, hardware, and system operations teams to resolve problems with ETL systems.
• Maintain expertise in MS SQL Server DBMS, logical and physical database design best practices.
• Provide ETL technical guidance/training and hands-on administration supporting project teams throughout the lifecycle of assigned projects.
• Provide feedback on the design of logical and physical data models and the application code to ensure optimal performance of the system as applicable.
• Provide support to the IT Department and participate in cross training to broaden skills.
• Work on multiple projects with multiple responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned
