Job Title: Senior Azure Cloud Administrator
Location: Frisco, TX / Remote
Position Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned Sr. PowerBI Platform Administrator with over 10 years of experience, preferably holding a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science. This role demands a strong background in Azure cloud administration, Linux and Windows OS management, and proficiency in scripting languages. A Microsoft Azure certification is mandatory.
Key Skills Required:
- Azure Expertise: Strong understanding of Azure concepts and experience with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services in Azure.
- Certification: Microsoft Azure certification is required.
- OS Administration: Intermediate knowledge of Linux and Windows OS administration activities.
- Scripting Proficiency: Skilled in PowerShell and Python for automation.
- Monitoring & Support: Experience in system monitoring, ticket handling, and troubleshooting.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Azure Service Management: Oversee end-to-end management of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services on the Azure platform.
- Infrastructure as Code: Manage provisioning and deprovisioning of resources using infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Configuration Management: Utilize CI/CD tools like GitLab or Azure DevOps for configuration management.
- Security & Compliance: Review and address security and governance issues; participate in SOX audits and maintain compliance.
- Monitoring & Availability: Configure and monitor system health checks, ensuring optimal system uptime and availability.
- Patching & Security: Conduct monthly Windows and Linux patching and configure monitoring and alerting systems.
- Resource Management: Ensure accurate tagging for chargeback and manage network configurations, including VPNs, firewalls, and encryption.
- Active Directory Management: Manage Active Directory (AD), covering domains, replication, Kerberos, and LDAP.
- Resilience & Disaster Recovery: Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Automation: Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell or Python.
- Performance & Cost Optimization: Regularly review system performance and optimize costs on the Azure platform.
- Cluster Management: Oversee Kubernetes and Databricks cluster management.
- Documentation: Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for recurring issues.
