Role: Tableau Developer
Location: Bay Area or Seattle (Onsite)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Tableau Developer to work closely with business stakeholders and translate business needs into visually impactful Tableau dashboards. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and advanced Tableau reporting, along with expertise in SQL queries. A background in the telecom domain or billing data is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business partners to gather and document requirements for Tableau dashboards.
- Analyze and validate data from large datasets using Tableau and Alteryx, ensuring accurate data representation.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and comprehensive design documents.
- Develop dynamic and interactive Tableau dashboards and reports, utilizing various visualizations such as:
- Bar Graphs
- Lollipop Charts
- Donut Charts
- Bubble Charts
- Heat Maps
- Tree Maps
- Reference Lines
- Dual Axis Line Charts
- Geographic Visualizations
- Utilize context filters, data source filters, and ensure accurate display of measures using relevant filters in Tableau.
- Work with Tableau features like Facts, Attributes, Hierarchies, Filters, Prompts, Calculated Fields, Sets, Groups, Actions, and Parameters to create tailored reports.
- Identify and resolve performance issues in Tableau dashboards, optimizing load times and data refresh rates.
- Write complex SQL queries to gather and process data for dashboards and reports.
- Communicate effectively with business users to ensure clarity and alignment on requirements and outputs.
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong experience in Tableau development and dashboard design.
- Proven ability to create a wide range of Tableau visualizations and reports.
- Solid understanding of context filters, data source filters, and how to effectively apply filters in Tableau.
- Expertise in creating and optimizing SQL queries.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with business users and stakeholders.
- Experience working with large datasets and ensuring data integrity.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Alteryx for data processing and analysis.
- Familiarity with the telecom domain, especially billing data.
- Understanding of performance optimization techniques for Tableau reports.
