Business System Analyst Job Description
Location: Tempe, AZ (3 hours radius maximum) or Santa Clara, CA
Core Responsibilities:
- Loan Portfolio Expertise: Deep understanding of loan portfolio datasets, with a particular focus on Commercial Real Estate (CRE).
- Data Warehousing: Work with data warehousing solutions to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Legacy Application Management: Analyze legacy applications, understand business requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience as a Business System Analyst.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Domain Knowledge: Sanctions, Fraud, KYC, AML, Payments domain knowledge is preferred.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry, particularly in systems implementation projects.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in development coding and relational database (SQL) queries.
- Advanced knowledge of systems integration, including API, Microservices, web services, and ETL processes.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all organizational levels.
Responsibilities:
- System Design Documentation: Analyze and translate complex business requirements into functional system design documents.
- Technology Analysis: Conduct technology and system-related analysis using knowledge of current applications, interfaces, and data structures to recommend solutions.
- Design Facilitation: Facilitate and participate in design white-boarding sessions to ensure prioritized business needs are met within client standards.
- Production Support: Provide leadership and support for system production issues, change requests, and maintenance. Maintain knowledge documentation.
- Team Management: Manage and direct remote team members to quickly resolve business-critical production incidents.
- Presentation Skills: Prepare and present subject matter expertise, analysis, options, and solutions in both written and presentation formats to internal and external audiences.
- Data Analysis: Apply advanced data analysis skills to understand detailed data flows between systems and within systems for the domain.
- Future Technology Trends: Regularly apply knowledge of future technology and system trends to solve current and future business needs.
- System Configuration: Configure systems and develop expertise in system functionality and design.
