Job Title: SAP FICO Finance Consultant

Position Overview:
The SAP FICO Finance Consultant will serve as a Finance IT Business Partner, responsible for aligning Finance and ERP technology projects with business goals, primarily within the Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry. The role includes ensuring technology investments maximize return on investment, and linking IT strategy with overall business/service line objectives. The consultant will play a crucial role in supporting finance applications, driving ERP projects, and ensuring seamless integration across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Alignment: Understand business objectives, goals, and requirements to prioritize Finance and ERP technology projects.
- Project Management: Ensure ERP projects align with technology investments for maximum ROI. Facilitate innovation in business processes and technical solutions.
- Cross-functional Integration: Understand and enhance the relationships and process integrations across different departments and ensure smooth global process implementation.
- Leadership and Influence: Apply a range of leadership styles depending on the situation to effectively influence internal/external contacts and lead during challenging times or periods of change.
- Finance System Support: Develop and support finance applications with a deep focus on SAP FICO, SAC, and Hyperion.
- Global Business Understanding: Have a deep understanding of global finance functions and the interrelationship between departments.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively across all organizational levels, ensuring clear and timely communication on project statuses and decisions.
- Vendor and Technology Management: Manage vendor relationships and compete effectively within the large IT department landscape.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience developing and supporting finance applications (SAP FICO, SAC, Hyperion).
- 5+ years of experience in the Pharmaceuticals or Life Sciences industry.
- Proven experience navigating large, global organizations, understanding departmental relationships, and process integration.
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to present to all levels of the organization.
- Strong leadership, influencing, and team-building capabilities, especially in high-growth environments.
- Experience in managing competing priorities and effectively overcoming obstacles.
- Project Management experience and the ability to manage ERP projects across multiple global locations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Preferred: MBA, CPA, or other advanced degrees in business or technology.
- Travel up to 20%.
