Role: Senior SAP BODS Data Engineer with Oracle Expertise

Job Description:

1. ETL Process Design & Development:

• Develop and implement ETL processes using SAP BODS for extracting, transforming, and loading data from Oracle databases and other data sources.
• Optimize data extraction, transformation workflows, and integration with Oracle systems.

1. Performance & Scalability:

• Ensure data integration workflows are efficient, scalable, and reliable.
• Monitor and enhance the performance of data processing workflows to meet business needs.

1. Job Development & Troubleshooting:

• Design, develop, and debug complex SAP BODS jobs, data flows, and scripts.
• Address data extraction issues and resolve any performance bottlenecks.

1. Database Management:

• Ensure efficient data storage and retrieval in Oracle databases using best practices.
• Apply PL/SQL for data manipulation and querying within Oracle databases.

1. Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Gather and understand data requirements from stakeholders.
• Provide accurate, reliable data solutions based on business needs.

Required Skills:

1. SAP BODS Expertise:

• Strong proficiency in creating SAP BODS data flows, jobs, and scripts.
• Experience with debugging and troubleshooting issues in BODS workflows.

1. Oracle Database Expertise:

• Hands-on experience with Oracle databases, including PL/SQL for querying and optimizing data retrieval.
• Deep understanding of Oracle’s best practices for data integration and storage.

1. ETL and Data Warehousing:

• Strong understanding of data integration concepts, ETL processes, and data warehousing principles.
• Ability to work with complex data models and schemas.

1. Problem-Solving and Attention to Detail:

• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on delivering accurate, high-quality solutions.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and optimize ETL jobs and data flows.

1. Communication and Team Collaboration:

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders and team members.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

1. Performance Tuning:

• Experience tuning SAP BODS jobs and optimizing Oracle SQL queries for better performance.

1. Oracle Data Integrator (ODI):

• Familiarity with Oracle Data Integrator or other Oracle-based ETL tools can be advantageous.

1. Cloud Integration:

• Exposure to cloud-based data integration platforms or solutions (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) for scalable ETL processes.
