Role: Oracle Informatica Developer with Python
Location: New York City, NY ( Day 1 Onsite )
Job Description:
- Data Warehousing Expertise:
- Proficiency in Oracle for data warehousing and database management.
- Extensive experience with Informatica, a popular ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tool, used for data integration and management.
- Programming and Scripting:
- Strong experience with PL/SQL for writing and optimizing SQL queries in Oracle databases.
- Proficiency in Python, particularly for data manipulation, automation, and cloud data processing.
- Experience working with Unix technologies, potentially for shell scripting and system administration tasks.
- Cloud Data Warehousing:
- Knowledge of cloud-based data warehousing solutions, such as those offered by AWS (Amazon Web Services), likely involving services like Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, or Amazon S3.
- AWS Data Services:
- Familiarity with AWS Data Services, which could include services like AWS RDS, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, and others that are relevant to cloud-based data storage, processing, and analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Application Design and Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain data applications that leverage Oracle, Informatica, Python, and Unix technologies.
- Focus on creating efficient and scalable data processing applications.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with other teams (e.g., data analysts, business stakeholders, and developers) to define, design, and deploy new features.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Application Optimization:
- Continuously work on optimizing the performance of applications, ensuring they are scalable and can handle large datasets effectively.
- Security and Data Protection:
- Implement necessary security measures to protect sensitive data and comply with relevant data protection protocols and standards.
- System Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing systems.
- Provide upgrades and maintenance to ensure the systems remain effective, secure, and aligned with the latest technologies.
- Code Quality:
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to best practices.
- Ensure the code is well-documented and easy for other engineers to understand and maintain.
- Industry Awareness:
- Keep up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the data engineering and cloud computing fields.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies that can improve existing systems and processes.
