Role: Azure Devops Engineer
Location: Frisco, TX
Job Description:
- Azure Infrastructure Management:
- Maintain and support Azure Infrastructure for high availability, performance, and security.
- Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve issues related to Azure infrastructure and services.
- Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency of cloud-based systems.
- DevOps & CI/CD Pipelines:
- Implement and manage DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and Azure DevOps to automate and streamline the deployment pipeline.
- Develop automation scripts using Shell, Python, or Go to improve operational efficiency.
- Design and implement Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) processes.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Use monitoring tools like Splunk, Grafana, and AppDynamics to track application performance and infrastructure health.
- Proactively identify performance issues, application bottlenecks, and other system-related problems.
- Provide hands-on support for application monitoring, issue detection, and resolution.
- API Testing and Validation:
- Utilize tools such as Postman and Swagger to test and validate APIs, ensuring they meet the required functionality and performance standards.
- Automate API testing to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead a team of 5-10 engineers, providing technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance on best practices.
- Ensure that the team is aligned with operational goals and deadlines.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
- BizOps and Operations Support:
- Support BizOps and operations teams in handling day-to-day tasks related to infrastructure and application health.
- Take part in 24/7 on-call support rotations to ensure operational continuity and fast issue resolution.
- ITSM Tools:
- Work with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools to manage incidents, service requests, and change management.
- Ensure smooth incident management and resolution processes.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and Azure DevOps.
- Proficient in monitoring and troubleshooting applications using Splunk, Grafana, and AppDynamics.
- Experience in API testing using Postman, Swagger, and similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of Azure services, cloud architecture, and best practices.
- Experience with databases such as Cosmos DB and Mongo DB.
- Hands-on experience with automation and scripting using Shell, Python, or Go.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow or Jira Service Management.
- Experience leading a team of engineers (5-10 members).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Willingness to provide 24/7 support and work in shifts.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Agile and Kanban methodologies.
- Experience working in BizOps support roles.
- Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization of cloud-based systems.
