Role – IBM Maximo Techno-Functional

Location: San Jose CA (preferably West Coast based as support required in PST)

Duration: 6+ Months

 

We need 10+ Years of experience,

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximo Implementation and Configuration:
  • Lead and support the functional configuration and implementation of IBM Maximo solutions in alignment with client requirements.
  • Configure Maximo modules including Asset Management, Work Management, Preventive Maintenance, Inventory Management, Procurement, and other relevant modules.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather functional requirements and translate them into system configurations.

Functional Support & Training:

  • Provide functional support and guidance to clients during the deployment and post-deployment phases.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users, providing documentation and knowledge transfer on IBM Maximo functionality and best practices.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live support.

Business Process Analysis:

  • Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify improvement opportunities leveraging IBM Maximo’s capabilities.
  • Provide recommendations on process improvements to drive efficiency, compliance, and cost savings.
  • System Integration:
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration of IBM Maximo with other enterprise systems (ERP, IoT, CMMS, etc.).
  • Support data migration & conversion activities during the Maximo implementation.

Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:

  • Troubleshoot functional issues and provide solutions or workarounds to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Act as the liaison between business users and technical teams to resolve functional-related issues.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including business requirements, configuration documents, process flows, and user manuals.
  • Support report creation and the development of dashboards to meet business requirements.

Coordination:

  • Lead biweekly sprint planning , issue triaging and coordination with other resources

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in IBM Maximo (such as IBM Certified Maximo Asset Management Functional Consultant) are highly preferred.

Experience:

  • 10+years of hands-on experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting IBM Maximo, particularly in the areas of Asset Management, Work Management, Inventory, and Procurement.
  • Strong experience with business process analysis and mapping within the context of asset management or related industries.
  • Experience with Maximo version upgrades, system configuration, and integration with other enterprise applications.
  • Experience in client-facing roles, such as leading workshops, gathering requirements, and providing consulting services.

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with IBM Maximo architecture, integration capabilities, & data models.
  • Knowledge of Maximo's integration with other tools and systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, IoT platforms).

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Client-focused with strong interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Maximo Industry Solutions.
  • Experience with Maximo Asset Management in a cloud or SaaS environment.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices for IT Service Management (ITSM).
