Title: Senior PowerBuilder Developer
Duration: 1 year with extension likely
Exp: 12+ years
Location: Lansing, MI
Hybrid: Onsite from day 1, two days a week. Wednesdays are required to be onsite.
Interview Process: Webcam and there is potential a 2nd round interview could be held in person.
Job Description:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline
• PowerBuilder Development (version 7 or higher)
• Work in a hybrid office and/or home environment.
• Willingness to learn.
Required Skills
PowerBuilder Developer
– Research legacy PowerBuilder source code to document the steps the application uses with data. Current experience 5 years
T-SQL Query Writing
– Resource must have a high level of SQL query writing skills to write complex queries to pull data from a Sybase and MS SQL Server database. 10 years
– Must have experience developing processes to extract and manipulate data to support data migration and data cleansing of application data. 10 years
Data Management
– Must have experience in performing data profiling, data mapping, data manipulation, validation, and analysis. 10 years
Source Control
– Must have experience working with source control technologies such as TFS/Azure DevOps, or GIT. 5 years
Unit Testing
– Must have experience documenting and performing unit testing to support program changes. 10 years
Documentation
– Must have experience creating, updating, and maintaining documentation for programs, system specs, and flow diagrams. 10 years
Testing
– Must be able to work with the client and/or Business Analyst to support test scenarios. 5 years
Production Support
– Analyze and document identified problems to determine root cause and provide root cause analysis. 5 years
Change Management
Follow change management procedures and provide input to execute changes. 5 years
