Job Title: Lead AWS Data Engineer
Location: Remote
Must Have Skills: Python, Amazon S3, AWS DevOps, AWS EMR, AWS EC2, Big Data
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Architect with 8 to 12 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in Big Data, AWS EC2, AWS EMR, AWS DevOps, Amazon S3, and Python. Experience in the Utilities domain is a plus. This is a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel required.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable and robust Big Data solutions using AWS services.
- Oversee the deployment and management of AWS EC2 instances to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide expertise in AWS EMR to process large datasets efficiently.
- Implement and manage AWS DevOps practices to streamline development and deployment processes.
- Utilize Amazon S3 for efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Develop and maintain Python scripts for data processing and automation tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address business requirements.
- Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards.
- Optimize system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve solutions.
- Document technical designs, processes, and procedures for future reference.
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices.
Qualifications:
- Possess strong technical skills in Big Data, AWS EC2, AWS EMR, AWS DevOps, Amazon S3, and Python.
- Have experience in designing and implementing scalable Big Data solutions.
- Demonstrate expertise in managing AWS EC2 instances and optimizing their performance.
- Show proficiency in using AWS EMR for processing large datasets. Possess excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Have strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Be familiar with data security and compliance standards.
- Show a willingness to mentor and guide junior team members.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Experience in the Utilities domain is a plus.
