| Role Description: | Analyze requirements and existing resources to create efficient database and ETL designs to support system to system data integrationWork with project and business analyst leads in order to develop and clarify in-depth technical requirements including logical and physical data modeling activitiesDesign and implement ETL processes for data transactions related to Enterprise Data Warehouse, Operational Data Store (ODS), and other data structures to support our Business Intelligence operationsDevelops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintains and tests software applications that support business units or supporting functions using Hadoop ETL tool suite. These application program solutions may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools.Snowflake SQL Writing SQL queries against Snowflake Developing scripts Unix, Python, etc. to do Extract, Load, and Transform dataHands-on experience with Snowflake utilities such as SnowSQL, SnowPipe, Python, Tasks, Streams, Time travel, Optimizer, Metadata Manager, data sharing, and stored procedures.In-depth understanding of Data Warehouse/ODS, ETL concept and modeling structure principlesExperience in Data warehousing – OLTP, OLAP, Dimensions, Facts, and Data modeling.Experience in gathering and analyzing system requirementsGood Hands on Experience in DataStage ETL toolHands on development/debugging of IBM Datastage v11 or higher ETL jobs in a grid/cluster environmentETL, Packages and FunctionsExperience creating/debugging Unix Shell Scripts (KSH, BASH)Experience with databases like Netezza, Oracle, MS SQL Server 2012+, DB2 and MS Access And NOSQL dbsExperience with job automation & scheduling software (Control M) Strong ability to write SQL queriesDesired Skills: Familiar with UNIX, Windows, File transfer utilities, Visio, process flow creation, ETL technologies |
