A Senior Android Developer I on the technical team facilitates all aspects of the Android software development life cycle to ensure successful delivery of the system nationally. As a key member of the software development team, you will be part of a highly motivated team, responsible for building a native technology stack for eCommerce experiences of the future.
The Day-to-Day:
- Be a hands-on developer and team leader driving software development, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Build strong partnerships with other Development, QA, Product, and SRE teams to build scalable and maintainable software.
- Ensure software complies with architectural, security, testing standards and established methodologies.
- Active participation and influence in code review and establishment of standards and best practices
- Active participation in all agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, refinement, retrospective, and in-sprint demos
- Contribute to building a high-performance culture and a sense of camaraderie within the cross-functional team.
Is this you?
- BA/BS degree or equivalent years of experience
- At least 5+ years of experience in software development using Java and/or Kotlin for Android with Android Studio
- At least 7 years of software development experience leading the delivery of large, complex solutions.
3 possible projects to work on: (TBD by manager on what the best project fit is for the contractor)
- -Loyalty team. Loyalty pages, content, data, campaigns (Android)
- -Menu/Content: Menu items, pricing, 3rd party API (ex-Uber eats), etc.
- -Customer pages: Any pages a customer would interact with. (iOS)
- -QSR experience is ideal
- -Contract until end of year
- -MUST be able to work independently, see big picture of what they are doing and how it effects downstream. Critical thinkers that can work thru bottlenecks
- -Strong communicators
Must have's:
- 5 years of android is ideal with a solid Java background. He would consider less android exp and more java exp.
- They ideally want senior who can be a lead type, not managing people but owning the tech platform.
- This is a device app with Android OS, so they must be able to go into a lab for device deployments, etc.
- They will collaborate with other teams, QE and business (PM)
- Looking for a critical thinker that can own the platform and identify bottlenecks, etc.
