Cobol Software Architect
Remote/Onsite/Hybrid: currently 50% onsite – 2 days one week and 3 the following week
Location if onsite Albany NY

Description:
The Software Architect will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and testing for all aspects of the system modernization initiatives.
Day to day tasks include:
Based on a set of business requirements the Software Architect Expert will be required to define functional & data requirements, write application specifications, and design for the mainframe processing. Programs will be written / modified in Cobol, .Net, and OutSystems based on the design.
Unit testing for each module is required as well as writing test plans for the integration tests. When testing is completed the Software Architect Expert will be required to migrate the programs to the production environment and perform postproduction validation of the implementation.
Mandatory Qualifications:
· Expert 84+ Months
Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
Secondary Qualifications:
84 months experience in COBOL/CICS/JCL development
84 months experience in DB2/SQL development
84 months experience with Endevor version control
72 months of experience in System Analysis, Design and functional specs documentation
72 months experience performing Software Development and Design for migrating legacy to modern applications
24 months in .Net
12 months experience in OutSystems development
