Description Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Security F5 skilled resource to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in intrusion detection, Palo Alto X-Series firewalls, and F5 solutions. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network architectures, as well as responding to security incidents.

Roles and Responsibilities
Technical Expertise
• Design and implement intrusion detection systems to prevent and respond to security incidents.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto X-Series firewalls to ensure secure network access and segmentation.
• Implement and manage F5 solutions, including load balancers, application delivery controllers (ADCs), and security devices.
• Design and implement secure network architectures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
Incident Response
• Respond to and investigate security incidents, including identifying root causes and implementing remediation plans.
• Perform threat hunting activities to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and regulations, and identify and manage security risks.
Collaboration and Communication
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including networking, security, and development, to ensure secure and reliable network operations.
• Provide training and documentation to stakeholders on security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Promote security awareness and education throughout the organization.

Technical Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent certifications.
• 5+ years of experience in IT security, with expertise in intrusion detection, Palo Alto X-Series firewalls, and F5 solutions.

Additional Skills
• + Strong understanding of network security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection.
• + Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
• + Knowledge of security frameworks, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• + Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
