Job Description: System Analyst 6 – Test Automation
Location: Hybrid (Onsite 2 days/week in Lansing, MI)
Duration: 1 year (Possible extension)

Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced System Analyst 6 – Test Automation professional for our client in Lansing, MI. This is a hybrid role where the candidate will be required to work onsite 2 days a week in Lansing. The role will focus on test automation, ensuring the quality of applications and systems through the use of automated testing tools and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated tests for web-based and backend applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments to ensure that automated tests align with project requirements.
- Write, update, and optimize test scripts for web and backend applications using tools such as Selenium and Test Complete.
- Identify, report, and track defects and issues through the entire lifecycle of the project.
- Execute regression testing, functional testing, and performance testing to ensure product stability.
- Review project requirements and ensure that testing covers critical functionality and user scenarios.
- Collaborate closely with developers, QA, and business analysts to enhance testing processes and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Maintain strong version control and testing practices to support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Utilize strong SQL skills to query databases, validate data, and automate test case verification.
- Write test cases in languages such as Java, JavaScript, and Python as needed.
- Ensure test automation scripts are reusable, maintainable, and scalable.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other Agile ceremonies to ensure test automation aligns with project timelines.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 6+ years as an Automation Tester, with proven experience in automation framework design and execution.
- Test Automation Tools: 4+ years of experience with Selenium, Test Complete, or similar test automation tools.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in Salesforce, Java, JavaScript, and Python.
- SQL Skills: Strong skills in writing complex SQL queries for data validation and test case verification.
- Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile teams, with a focus on continuous testing and test-driven development (TDD).
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently while ensuring all automated tests meet quality standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)
- Knowledge of Salesforce testing frameworks
- Experience with performance testing tools
