Job Description: Test Architect

Position: Test Architect
Location: Troy Hills – Parsippany, NJ (Onsite)
Role Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

·       Architect and implement tailored automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Appium, and Playwright to enhance testing efficiency.

·       Lead performance testing initiatives with tools like REST Assured and JMeter, ensuring smooth integration with CI/CD pipelines.

·       Drive Proof of Concept (POC) evaluations for open-source testing tools, ensuring data-driven and value-oriented decisions for testing processes.

·       Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies to optimize testing efforts and ensure high-quality product delivery.

·       Conduct API testing and virtualization and collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance test automation processes.

·       Establish, manage, and mentor testing teams specializing in manual, automation, performance, and security testing.

·       Provide mentorship to team members, fostering innovation and ensuring high-quality testing outcomes.

·       Define, track, and report on team KPIs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

·       Act as a key stakeholder in testing-related discussions, aligning strategies with broader business objectives and ensuring seamless integration with product development.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, DevOps, and product management, to integrate testing practices into the overall product lifecycle.

·       Monitor and analyze product performance post-launch, providing actionable insights for iterative improvements.

·       Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to innovate and improve testing processes.

Qualifications:

·       Proficiency in Java and JavaScript for test automation and framework development.

·       Strong experience with Selenium, Appium, Playwright, and CI/CD tool integrations for efficient and scalable automation frameworks.

·       Expertise in performance testing tools like REST Assured, JMeter, and Postman.

·       Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Jenkins for building test environments and managing CI/CD pipelines.

·       Familiarity with microservices architecture and working knowledge of PostgreSQL databases.

·       Experience with Dynatrace and solid understanding of SQL for product performance monitoring and optimization.

·       Expertise in using Git, Jira, and Zephyr for test management, version control, and tracking.

·       8+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automation and performance testing.

·       Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable test architectures and leading testing initiatives across projects.

·       Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset, ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance.

·       Ability to adapt quickly to evolving technologies and handle change effectively in fast-paced environments.

·       Innovative mindset with a proactive approach to bring fresh ideas to enhance testing practices.

·       Willingness to travel as needed for project-related activities and client engagements.
