Title: Technology Portfolio Manager
Location: Hartford, CT
Long term 12 month + contract with potential to convert to perm with client.
Hybrid–MUST BE 3 DAYS On-Site in Hartford, CT
Seeking a consultant with strong IT Infrastructure experience and knowledge who will be handling external vendor relationships and partnerships. There is some customer service and 3rd party vendor experience that is required.
Must haves:
- 7+ years' experience within IT environment
- Background in infrastructure technologies (network, server, system, security, VoIP, etc)
- Proven track record of working with 3rd party vendors (Dell, Microsoft, Cisco, IBM, etc)
- acquisitions, renewals, and liaison experience
- Financial planning/budgeting/cost comparison experience
- Agile methodology understanding
- Excellent customer service skills
Team Responsibilities
- Update and maintain Dashboard to track and report on assigned work activity.
- Meet regularly with assigned Vendors, Product Owners and SME's to;
- Review renewal timelines, amendments, and contract language.
- Review and discuss any necessary licensing model changes for accuracy and efficiency.
- Update acquisition expectations and quarterly planning.
- Provide costing and estimation support for assigned Tier 1/Tier 2 products.
- As required, Partner with project teams and engineers on design, vetting requirements, risk mitigation and cost comparisons.
- Partner with renewals teams for PR preparation (Providing and researching business justification)

- Role is like a portfolio manager –true liaison to both procurement and the business
- All products are tracked, working with the business on usage, renewals, contracts, etc; keeping everything up to date and track appropriately as it relates to licenses, hardware, software
- Will then hand off to procurement to handle the legalities/contract piece once everything is squared away
