HCL Technologies is seeking a Python Technical Lead with expertise in SQL, data analysis, and Python to drive the technical execution of data-driven projects. The role requires strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and leadership expertise to optimize applications, analyze large datasets, and generate actionable insights. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying redundant applications, enhancing the application landscape, and ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Development
Lead and manage a team of SQL, Python, and data analytics professionals.
Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries and scripts for data analysis and manipulation.
Utilize Python for data extraction, transformation, analysis, and visualization.
Ensure adherence to best practices in SQL development, data analysis, and Python-based analytics.
Troubleshoot technical issues and propose innovative, scalable solutions.

Data Analysis & Optimization
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
Consolidate software asset data to evaluate product portfolios for rationalization and optimization.
Pull data from ServiceNow, Discovery Tools, Lean/CE Way data, and financial sources into structured templates.
Provide recommendations to eliminate redundant applications and streamline enterprise software solutions.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and developers to define project scope and objectives.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Act as the go-to expert for data analysis and asset consolidation within the organization.

Mandatory Skills & Experience:
SQL Expertise – Strong experience writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
Data Analysis & Processing – Hands-on experience working with large datasets for insight generation.
Python Development – Proficiency in Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, and SQLAlchemy for data analysis.
ETL & Data Engineering – Experience in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) pipelines.
Application Optimization – Proven experience identifying software redundancies and optimizing application portfolios.

Cloud & Data Tools – Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP and BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.

ServiceNow & IT Asset Management – Experience working with ServiceNow, Discovery Tools, and Lean/CE Way data.
DevOps & CI/CD – Experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform.
