Candidates must be local to – Virgina/Maryland/ Washington, D.C.
Need to travel to client locations (VA/MD/DC) where these servers are located.
Pay rate – $65/hr on C2C
Job Description
We are looking for a system admin, who can operate and maintain several dozen servers, and perform preventative maintenance. In addition, the staff should have Azure expertise doing operation and maintenance of the instances. Staff need to be local in VA or MD, and will need to travel to client locations where these servers are located.
The applications are hosted on farm of 15 servers across 2 geographically dispersed data centers with in the Washington DC Metro Area. The system is designed to be load balanced and highly available. Apart from the production environment, there are Dev, Author and RideGuide environments. These servers are updated monthly using IBM BigFix to help protect against cybersecurity attacks.

Environment:
SmarTrip has Active/passive servers. The active servers are located at the Azure East USA. If there is a fault where the East USA servers are not functioning, the O & M team must manually failover to the North central location. The system is designed to be highly available. Apart from the production environment, 2 other lower environments are available, Development, and Staging/QA environments consisting of approximately 28 total servers located in a single data center. These servers are updated monthly using IBM BigFix to help protect against cyber-attacks.
GOTRS has multiple environments to support development, quality assurance, training, staging and production. The non-production environments are hosted on VMs on-prem. The production environment is Azure with Active/passive servers. The active servers are located at the East USA. If there is a fault where the East USA servers are not functioning, the O & M team must manually failover to the North central location.
