Job Title: System Hardware Board Design Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (On-Site)
Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced System Hardware Board Design Engineer to join our client, Amazon.com, Inc., in Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-speed board design, SoC/DDR architecture, and multilayer PCB development. This role requires a hands-on engineer who can independently translate product requirements into detailed electronic designs, perform failure analysis, and support the end-to-end hardware development cycle.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop high-speed digital systems including SoC/DDR and various high-speed interfaces.

Create schematics, block diagrams, and functional hardware designs based on product requirements.

Design and validate high-speed interfaces such as DDR, DSI, CSI, HDMI, USB, Ethernet, and DisplayPort (DP).

Work hands-on with ECAD tools like OrCAD Capture and Cadence Allegro for schematic capture and PCB layout review.

Deliver complex EE system designs with multilayer PCB stack-ups.

Perform design reviews, debug hardware issues, and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Layout, Firmware, and Validation) to ensure successful product development and launch.
Required Skills & Experience:

8–10 years of experience in hardware/system board design.

Expertise in SoC/DDR system architecture and board-level memory design.

Solid experience with high-speed interface designs (DDR, DSI, CSI, HDMI, USB, Ethernet, DP).

Strong proficiency with ECAD tools such as OrCAD Capture and Cadence Allegro.

Experience in delivering complex multilayer PCB designs from concept to production.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and take full ownership of design cycles.

Experience with failure analysis and debugging tools, and the ability to identify and fix issues at the hardware level.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in consumer electronics, embedded systems, or IoT devices.

Familiarity with signal integrity and power integrity analysis tools.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
