Position: System Engineer
Location: Las Vegas, NV (Onsite)
Duration: 9+ months Contract
Job Description:
- System Setup and Configuration-Install and configure** operating systems, applications, and networking components for prototype systems.
- Ensure that the system is set up according to the projects specifications and requirements.
- Maintenance and Monitoring:Monitor system performance** and ensure that all components are functioning correctly.
- Apply updates, patches, and fixes to keep the prototype systems secure and operational.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during the prototype phase.
- Testing and Evaluation:Support testing activities**, including performance, load, and security testing, to evaluate how the prototype systems behave under different conditions.
- Provide feedback on the systems performance and suggest improvements or optimizations.
- Documentation: Create and maintain **documentation** for the prototype systems, including setup procedures, configurations, troubleshooting guides, and system architecture diagrams.
- Document any changes made to the system and their impact on performance or functionality.
- Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with software developers, engineers, and other IT professionals to integrate new features or changes into the prototype systems. – Assist in the transition of prototype systems from the testing phase to production environments.
- Security Management:Implement and manage **security measures** to protect the prototype systems from unauthorized access or cyber threats.
- Ensure that all security policies and procedures are adhered to during the prototype phase.
- User Support: Provide technical support to users or stakeholders who are testing or using the prototype systems.
- Address any issues or questions that users have during their interaction with the system.8. Resource Management: Manage system resources (CPU, memory, storage, etc.) to ensure the prototype systems operate efficiently.
- Plan for scalability or resource allocation based on the projects needs.
- System Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage **backup solutions** to protect data and configurations in the prototype systems.
- Develop and test **disaster recovery** plans to ensure system resilience in case of failures.
- System Optimization: Continuously evaluate and optimize the systems performance, identifying potential areas for improvement.
- Implement automation tools or scripts to streamline administrative tasks and improve efficiency.
Required Education: At least a bachelor’s degree( or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
