Job Summary:
This job is for a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant with specialized experience in the medical device industry. The role involves leading and conducting cybersecurity assessments for connected products (such as medical devices), using industry frameworks like IEC 62443. This person will be responsible for developing security strategies, risk mitigation plans, and cyber solutions for these devices. The consultant will also collaborate with clients to ensure compliance with regulations (e.g., FDA post-market guidance) and create security policies, procedures, and actionable recommendations to protect connected products from cyber threats.
Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant with over 10 years of experience in the medical device industry. This role focuses on conducting cybersecurity assessments for connected medical devices, developing security architectures and solutions, and ensuring compliance with regulations like FDA post-market guidance. The ideal candidate will have experience in risk identification, cyber defense strategies, and the design and implementation of cybersecurity controls for medical devices.
The consultant will lead workshops and meetings, collaborate with internal teams and clients, and provide insights into cybersecurity risks and solutions tailored to medical device environments. Strong communication skills are needed to explain complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- 10 + years of medical device industry experience
- Lead meetings and workshops related to engagement delivery.
- Conduct connected product (e.g., medical devices) cybersecurity assessments using industry frameworks (e.g., IEC 62443).
- Identify and articulate potential connected product risks, the associated impacts, and recommendations for effective risk mitigation.
- Develop security strategies for connected products.
- Analyze connected product architectures and capabilities.
- Identify and support design of connected product security architectures and controls.
- Develop policies, plans, and procedures considering necessary compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., FDA post-market guidance).
- Design connected products cyber solutions and support implementation for devices and their associated digital solutions.
- Develop actionable recommendations and roadmaps for fortifying connected products (i.e., devices and their associated digital solutions) against potential cyber intrusions and attacks.
- Support development of comprehensive connected product cybersecurity policies and procedures. Define connected product cybersecurity standards.
- Provide relevant connected product cybersecurity insights.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of connected products (e.g., medical devices), architectures, protocols, and forensic analysis techniques.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
- Develop actionable deliverables tailored to clients' specific business goals.
- Communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
