Job Overview:

DKMRBH Inc. is seeking an experienced .NET Core Programmer Analyst to support one of our premium clients. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in .NET web application development, with expertise in C#, Web API design and security, Blazor, JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Mud Blazor), and database development. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, as the candidate will engage in both technical and business discussions.

This position requires onsite work 3 days a week at the client’s Richmond, VA office. Candidates must arrange their own parking through VDOT’s Parking Management Office or other means.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze complex software requirements and develop high-quality components using .NET Core.
• Ensure adherence to programming best practices, system documentation, and code quality.
• Work closely with business and system analysts to clarify and implement technical requirements.
• Design, develop, and secure Web APIs while ensuring best practices in middleware and software architecture patterns.
• Develop and maintain relational databases, writing optimized T-SQL queries.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
• Participate in an Agile software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Demonstrate a team-first attitude and strong problem-solving skills.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET web application lifecycle.
• Expertise in Web API design, development, and security.
• Experience with relational database design and T-SQL development.
• Familiarity with software architecture patterns and tiered architecture.
• Hands-on experience with unit testing and integration testing.
• Understanding of key business processes and IT functions.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and collaborative development.

Preferred/Desired Skills:

• Blazor framework (or willingness to learn).
• Mud Blazor component library.
• Strong front-end development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience with Dapper ORM for database access.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for code repositories and project management.
• Knowledge of Serilog or similar logging libraries.
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Proficiency in Git / TFS for version control.

Additional Information:

• This is a long-term position, likely to extend beyond June 30th, up to 24 months.
• The contractor will be responsible for purchasing parking through VDOT’s Parking Management Office or arranging their own parking.
