Job Summary:
· We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead and manage Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and testing projects. This role is crucial for ensuring successful project implementation, on-time and on-budget completion, while adhering to Agile methodologies.
· The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering COTS implementations and managing comprehensive testing efforts. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of COTS and testing projects, ensuring they meet business objectives and requirements.
- Develop and manage project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT staff, vendors, and third-party partners, to ensure project alignment and success.
- Oversee the selection, customization, and implementation of COTS solutions, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with existing systems and processes.
- Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and deliver regular status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on project delivery.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, CSM) is a plus.
- Minimum of [X] years of project management experience, with a focus on COTS implementations and testing projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Proven experience in managing the entire lifecycle of COTS projects, from vendor selection and customization to deployment and support.
