JOB SUMMARY:
- Under broad supervision, performs complex administrative duties and statistical, financial, or operational data analysis and reporting in support of management decision making in the functional area. Identifies trends, discrepancies, and variances to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. May partner with other departments, divisions, outside agencies, and vendors to address business issues.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Extract primary data from Oracle Database with the use of SQL
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
- Provide timely and accurate data to fulfill internal and external data requests
- Identify, compile, and ‘clean’ data for research projects.Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Oversee evaluation and research projects.Communicate the evaluation plan and its details to leadership and stakeholders
- Collaborate with external research partners to ensure understanding of data points and data sets
- Develop and monitor internal and external data requests
- Manage, summarize, and analyze quantitative and/or qualitative data
- Develop, review, and abstract published research
- Produce data visualization dashboards with Tableau
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL, Oracle, etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
- Significant experience in accessing and extracting data from organizational and/or other institutional databases
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in the Criminal Justice field and/or Data Management/Analysis
- Proficient skills in queries, report writing, and presenting findings
- Experience in data visualization software (i.e., Tableau)
