Position : Splunk Developer
Location: Jersey City, NJ and Plano, TX (Onsite)
Job Type: contract only
Job Description:
As a Splunk Developer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing solutions using Splunk to help analyse and visualize data. You will collaborate with various teams to integrate data sources, create Splunk dashboards, alerts, and reports, and provide expertise to enhance the organization's data analytics and monitoring capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Splunk Development: (Must Have)
- Splunk Developer Program provides a
- REST API, software development kits (SDKs), and developer tools
- to help you connect your business workflows to Splunk Cloud Platform and Splunk Enterprise..
Data Integration:
- Onboard data from various sources into Splunk, ensuring proper parsing and indexing.
- Integrate new data sources and refine existing ones to improve data accuracy and quality.
- Implement data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) techniques to bring data into Splunk.
System Optimization:
- Monitor the health of the Splunk environment and optimize its performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Splunk performance, data indexing, and searches.
- Optimize searches for better performance and faster data retrieval.
Collaboration and Documentation:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide Splunk-based solutions.
- Document processes, queries, and dashboards to support knowledge transfer and system maintenance.
- Provide training and support to team members and end-users on Splunk functionalities.
