Solr Administrator / Engineer
- Role: Primary responsibility for installing, configuring, and maintaining Solr clusters. Focuses on maintaining the reliability, scalability, and performance of the Solr environment.
- Skills: Expertise in Solr, Zookeeper, server management, shell scripting, and performance tuning. Strong background in system architecture, monitoring tools, incident management, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab), containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), and cloud platforms.
- Setting up and configuring Solr clusters.
- Managing Solr cores, replicas, and collections.
- Monitoring and optimizing query performance.
- Indexing strategies and document processing.
- Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Patch management and upgrades.
- Monitoring system health and performance.
- Incident response and root cause analysis.
- Capacity planning and scaling strategies.
- Implementing and managing disaster recovery processes.
- Continuous improvement of operational processes.
