Position: Software Test Engineer
Location: Denver, Colorado(Candidate must be local)-Remote
Required Years of Experience:3 to 5 years
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute software tests to ensure software runs smoothly and effectively.
- Document test results and communicate findings to development teams.
- Troubleshoot issues and debug software.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure quality standards are met.
- Continuously update knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and technologies in software testing.
Required Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or up to 2 years of equivalent experience in software testing.
- Software Testing: Familiarity with software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documenting test results and issues.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Desired Skills:
- Automation Testing: Experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Bug Tracking: Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Continuous Integration: Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Agile Methodologies: Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Database Knowledge: Understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL.
- Security Testing: Knowledge of security testing practices and tools.
- Performance Testing: Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
