This is what the hired candidate will be doing:
The Portfolio Central team is looking for a highly motivated individual to expand a Portfolio Optimization tool to the Munis Desk.
The tool will allow users to provide a list of parameters, inputs, and guidelines to result in the creation of list of bonds optimized for different objectives. The portfolio objectives will be defined within the tool. The tool application will provide Sales and Trading users with the ability of customize and/or create portfolios on behalf of clients by means of an iterative process .
- Seeking a senior Python (TRUE EXPERT) with design/architecture skills. That is, someone who understand the broad picture before coding.
- Candidate must have worked in the capital markets or investment banking, hedge funds, asset managers, financial market data, as they must understand a little about the financial products like fixed income products and how to obtain those data (corporate bonds, treasuries, municipal bonds, MBS, etc.)
- Seeking a senior person with 10+ years’ experience
- Must work 5 days in the office in Manhattan, New York City
- The currently have a system in Python that was not done properly and is extremely slow. They need someone to come in and fix the situation.
- The last interview is IN-PERSON so only local candidates are considered.
