Job Description
 

Location: Battle Creek, MI  (On-site) Must be local- no relocation candidates Potential for some travel (Sporatic)- 1x per quarter.

Job Summary:

Consultant will provide a OT Security SME responsible for ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of operational technology systems for six manufacturing facilities with the primary facility in MI. Will provide a site read-out or health check highlighting potential OT risks and read out to the site, business unit, and IT leadership on a regular cadence The OT Security Engineer will liaise between each manufacturing facility’s engineering team and corporate IT Engineering and Architecture teams to consult and support key safety, segmentation, and remote access strategies.
 

Requirements:
                A. Must have 3-5 yrs of OT &IT Security supporting the          
               
development and implementation of OT security strategies focusing
                on visibility, segmentation, and secure remote access that also
               support site and business unit initiatives. (manage and secure OT
               networks and systems effectively.)

  1. Identify, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities within OT environments.
  2. Monitor OT networks and control systems, ensuring they are secure and operational.
  3. Use tools like Claroty to map attack vectors and assess risks.
  4. Support and execute segmentation strategies to reduce the risk of infections or events impacting operational environments.
  5. Utilize various detection engines to monitor OT security and integrity events.
  6. Prioritize and respond to real-time alerts based on risk assessments.

B. Must have prior experience tracking asset inventories, end of life assets, and baseline network activities to detect abnormalities to ensure security and reduce vulnerabilities.
C. Must have a understanding of OT and IT network segmentation & proficiency in security protocols and threat detection tools.
D. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
E. Experience using Palo Alto firewalls, Claroty, managing PLCs and OT sensors.
