Job Title: Scala Microservices Developer
Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite (5 days a week, mandatory — no exceptions)

Job Description:

We seek a highly skilled Scala Microservices Developer to join our team for critical NextGen transformation and professional services projects. The ideal candidate must have hands-on expertise in microservice development using Scala and a strong foundation in software architecture and system design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy robust microservices using Scala.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Engage with business and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design technical architecture accordingly.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables aligned with project goals and timelines.
• Lead and participate in architectural discussions and ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain existing Scala-based microservices.

Mandatory Skills:

• Expert-level experience in microservice development using Scala.
• Deep understanding of system architecture, integration patterns, and technical design principles.
• Proven track record of successful delivery of complex transformation projects.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on Scala.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high standards without handholding.

Work Environment:

• This is a strictly onsite role at Berkeley Heights, NJ.
• Candidates must be prepared to work from the office five days a week without exception.
