JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 9 years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and the ability to work independently on user stories. You will take technical direction from the architect as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails.
· Work independently on user stories, ensuring high-quality code and timely delivery.
· Collaborate with the architect to follow technical direction and best practices.
· Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
· Occasionally attend in-person working sessions if based in Peoria or Chicago (not mandatory).
REQUIREMENTS:
· 9+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails.
· Strong understanding of web development principles and best practices.
· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with remote teams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
· Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
· Based in Peoria or Chicago for occasional in-person working sessions (not required).
