Job Description:

We are committed to maintaining our legacy systems with the highest level of efficiency and accuracy. We are seeking an experienced RPG/LANSA Developer to join our IT team. This role involves working on our IBM iSeries systems to ensure the robust performance and reliability of our applications that utilize RPG II and LANSA.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain applications using RPG II on IBM iSeries systems.
  • Design, code, test, and debug programs using LANSA development tools.
  • Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical designs.
  • Optimize and enhance existing legacy systems for improved functionality and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate legacy systems with new technologies.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for existing applications in production.
  • Document technical specifications and maintain software version control.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in programming with RPG II and LANSA.
  • Strong understanding of IBM iSeries system operations and database management.
  • Proficient in SQL and DB2 database.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle and version control practices.
