Client is just pushed out a posting for a temporary Software Engineer Senior – Robotics Process Automation – Power Automate/Platform Engineer. Their RPA team is currently establishing governance and Centers of Excellence (COE) for Citizen Development. Power Automate is the technology that has been chosen to be used and the team does not have the depth of these skills on the team, besides the team lead. This individual will help establish the framework and other pieces to help their organization’s journey to using Power Automate.

Assignment Details:
- The assignment will go through end of the year.
- This role is WFH.
- We would like to have someone start ASAP.
- Onboarding for agency temps has changed. They will be joining our New Hire Orientation from 8am-12pm on their first day. If they are local, we will ask they come onsite. If they are not local then they will attend virtually.
Interview Process:

Position Description
As a Software Engineer Senior – Robotics Process Automation (Power Automate), you will be responsible to participate in the design, development and implementation of new and existing systems and features while delivering high quality solutions on time and within budget as part of the Robotics Process Automation service team.
In this role, you will work across UCare departments, with a focus on planning and analysis activities to provide project timelines, risks and opportunities, costs, etc. Collaborate with business partners to design automation opportunities; document and track current and future state business processes and requirements across multiple functional business areas; facilitate requirements gathering within multiple business functional areas to develop a comprehensive business requirements document; create functional and technical specifications and handle changes to requirements; develop bots and establishing Citizen Development withing our user community and utilizing automation tools (i.e. Power Automate, UI Path); define test scenarios; create test plans, and execute test scripts; and adhere to project related policies and procedures.
A strong background and hands on development experience is required. Research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC). You will work on a cross-functional team including quality assurance, technology operations and product managers, to assist with solution and architectural design.
- Understand and implement modern design patterns to facilitate code re-use and develop scalable/fault tolerant systems.
- Serve as a mentor for less experienced developers on coding best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve overall code quality.
- Design, create and maintain flows, actions, and triggers with CRM, SharePoint, O365, etc.
- Design and implement “helper” elements to improve automation performance and re-use (e.g., runtime configurations/settings).
- Create and document test procedures and scenarios for the pre-UAT phases.
- Complete thorough testing of automation in training/production environments.
- Ability to understand a business process from a workflow diagram to conceptualization as an automated solution.
- Support implementing enhancements and change requests as part of a structured change control process.
- Work collaboratively with operational and technical teams to deliver projects by assigned deadlines.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Required Experience
- At least five years of software development experience, with at least two years of experience working with Power Automate Cloud Flows and Desktop Flows related to Robotic Process Automaton.
- Experience on Power Apps (Canvas App, Model Driven App and Power pages), Dataverse, Custom and Standard connectors.
- Knowledge of SQL as well as C# (or Java).
- Version control such as GIT, Subversion, Team Foundation Server, etc.
- Experience in one or more of the following programming languages: JavaScript, Ruby, Python, Java, C#, .Net, Visual Basic, etc.
- Solid understanding of SOAP and RESTful API’s.
- Environment setup experience.
- Knowledge of Service Principal vs Service User for flow execution.
- Best practice knowledge of flow implementations including custom templates.
- Knowledge on best utilization of Power Platform licenses and COE starter Kit/Governance experience is a bonus.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Trello, Pivotal Tracker.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and applicability of Object-Oriented techniques and principles.
- Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Experience
- Azure DevOps – Power Platform Build tools knowledge.
- Experience with databases (SQL or noSQL) and data ETL.
- Healthcare Payer domain knowledge.
