Job Summary:

 Seeking an experienced SAP Release Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of SAP releases within our organization. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of SAP modules including Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), and Quality Management (QM). This role involves managing the release lifecycle, ensuring the smooth deployment of updates and enhancements, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive successful SAP implementations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

•          Develop and manage the SAP release schedule, ensuring alignment with business requirements and project timelines.

•          Coordinate with stakeholders to define release scope, objectives, and deliverables.

•          Identify and manage dependencies, risks, and issues related to SAP releases.

•          Oversee the deployment of SAP releases, including configuration, customization, and data migration.

•          Ensure successful integration of new functionalities and enhancements within the PLM, MM, PP, and QM modules.

•          Validate and test releases to ensure they meet quality standards and business needs.

•          Implement and enforce change management processes to control and document changes to the SAP environment.

•          Facilitate change advisory board (CAB) meetings and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained for changes.

•          Work closely with business users, project managers, and technical teams to gather requirements, address concerns, and provide updates on release progress.

•          Act as a liaison between different teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.

•          Monitor and resolve issues related to SAP releases and deployments.

•          Perform root cause analysis for any post-release issues and implement corrective actions.

•          Maintain comprehensive release documentation, including release notes, deployment plans, and post-release reviews.

•          Generate and present regular reports on release activities, status, and metrics to management.

•          Identify opportunities for process improvements in the release management lifecycle.

•          Implement best practices and industry standards to enhance release management processes.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate) are a plus.

Proven experience as an SAP Release Manager or in a similar role, with expertise in PLM, MM, PP, and QM modules.

Strong understanding of SAP release management processes, tools, and best practices.

Experience with SAP change management and deployment methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
