We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions and MongoDB Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure all deployed cloud solutions adhere to the client’s Cyber Security requirements and compliance controls, manage and optimize MongoDB databases, and integrate CI/CD practices into database management. This role also involves configuring infrastructure, monitoring applications, and participating in on-call rotations within the assigned time zone.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure all cloud solutions meet the client’s Cyber Security standards using existing templates, documentation, and other reusable resources.
• Configure infrastructure as code using ARM for Azure or CloudFormation for AWS.
• Set up and manage build and release pipelines for both cloud and on-premise solutions.
• Monitor and support the client’s cloud and on-prem applications using approved industry tools and practices.
• Respond to service requests from the development organization under the client’s management’s guidance.
• Participate in on-call rotations during standard working hours within the assigned time zone.
• Install, configure, and maintain MongoDB instances to ensure high availability and performance across environments.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, making necessary changes to ensure efficiency.
• Perform database backup and recovery tasks, ensuring all required logs and backups are successfully completed.
• Manage MongoDB features such as replication, indexing, and other critical functions.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for database code deployment and management.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate database changes into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Automate routine database administration tasks using appropriate tools and scripting.
• Ensure that all database changes adhere to compliance and security standards.
• Optimize SQL queries and indexing strategies for improved database performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues proactively and reactively.
• Provide data management support to clients, ensuring their database needs are met efficiently.
General Qualifications:
• Strong understanding of traditional networks, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Proficient in technical documentation, including workflows and support documentation.
• Experience as a MongoDB DBA, with hands-on expertise in managing critical databases.
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipeline integration for database management.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and management, particularly within Azure and AWS environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
