Title-Data Architect
Industry – pharma
remote contract role (must be flexible in working hours, EST and PST hours)

Note: Need 13+ Years of candidate
Key Responsibilities:
· Design and manage the overall data architecture, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
· Develop and maintain the metadata repository using AWS Data Catalog and AWS Glue.
· Link metadata, business glossary, and governance tools to ensure effective data management.
· Oversee clinical data ingestion, transformation, and classification to ensure data readiness for analysis.
· Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines for efficient data ingestion and transformation.
· Ensure data quality, compliance, and traceability through effective tagging and auditing.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
· Implement and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and security.
· Monitor and optimize data architecture and pipelines for performance and scalability.
· Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and anomalies promptly.
· Document data architecture, data flow diagrams, and metadata to support knowledge sharing and compliance.
Skills & Qualifications:
· Proven experience in data modeling and architecture design, preferably with tools like Erwin.
· Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS services, including AWS Glue, AWS Lake Formation, AWS DataZone, and AWS S3.
· Experience in metadata management and linking with business glossaries and governance tools.
· Proficiency in clinical data analysis and data transformation.
· Ability to design and implement data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in the biotech or healthcare industry.
· Familiarity with regulatory requirements and data compliance standards.
