Job Title : Mainframe Storage Administrator Domain

 

Responsibilities : Responsible for the Management of Storage and related devices within a mainframe complex Support problem and change tickets for storage systems support work involving problem determination and implementation of changes to storage devices, data backups, software, applications or network systems. Work consists of performing primarily routine and standardized sets of tasks Understand and implement specific customer requirements Perform root cause analysis Planning Backup/Restoration Strategy for 24×7 operation support Skill set

Requirements Mandatory: At least three years experience in at least one or more of the following: z/OS Operating System, Z Series Hardware, Mainframe Storage Management At least three years experience in at least one or more of the following: installing, troubleshooting, operating, testing, planning and configuring relevant technologies At least three years experience in of one or more of the following: SMS, DFHSM, RMM, CA1, CA-Vantage, CA-Disk Storage Life Cycle Management — Mainframe Storage Data Movement and Disposal Storage Monitoring and Problem Resolution Storage Management Product Tool Support and use Manage Advanced Storage Replication and Copy Services Good to Have:- Basic knowledge in LEAN methodologies Candidate will be expected to posses or gain knowledge of storage management software products including the IBM DFSMSxxx products, CA products, zDMF and others A plus would be system programming skills in Z/OS(MVS), Job Entry Subsystems(JES), and database management systems. Soft Skills/Other skills Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written) Good documentation skills Good working knowledge of MS OFFICE Should have a good customer handling skills Able to handle unforeseen situations High level of acceptance Can drive HCL’s value and its methodology
