Releasing code to different environments.

Production to non-production

Last April, most of the year

We hired an engineer, that didn’t have a lot of release but had configuration, Containers, configurations

Has experience configuring AZURE devops, 2022

Engineer will be a great help in doing that

PowerShell scripting

A lot of configurations

How to figure stuff out

Release experience that is highly preferred

CICD? Again if they have strong configuration

I want to make sure they are the ones creating these containers

Know how it works

Engineering side goes over my head

Bringing my config eng to the IV to make sure

They say my team has doen this. I need them to have done the work

Team has done it

Hoping that if I ask them a certain question

Tell me how you configure a container and give me the steps

Talk about it

Address those items

Day to Day

  • Release Team
  • Still must learn how to do the releases
  • 2 times per week
  • Scheduled releases Monday and Thursday nights
  • UAT deployments, there is a team that does that
  • Part of that schedule
  • They main person at night to do the releases Monday or Thursday 7-11PM

No east coast, we tried that before.
