This Quality Engineer will be supporting NGPOS – Next Generation Point of Sale. Unlocking Kroger’s potential to create a new, modern checkout experience for their associates and customers. NGPOS is honing in on ways to easily empower associates to complete transactions from anywhere in the store. Bringing the checkout lane to the customer will create an elevated, modern checkout experience.

This role is on-site at the Kroger BTC. The QE should expect to be at the BTC lab daily.

The pre-screen consists of 5 video questions and a games section. 

Typical Duties:

• Supports quality assurance programs and processes in alignment with QA strategy and deliverables in an Agile/Scrum environment with minimal guidance .  
• Responsible for providing feedback on artifacts developed during requirements and analysis phase within client projects; authoring test cases/scripts; and performing test execution for both project and support related activities. 
• Leverage technical expertise to develop, maintain and execute automation tests.  
• Identify opportunities to improve application code quality by increasing unit and integration test coverage.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of QA experience
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and QA processes
• Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, and GitLab
• Strong understanding of defect tracking, root cause analysis using Jira, Rally, etc
• Knowledge of automation, performance concepts, and approaches
• Ability to apply risk-based testing techniques
• Experience in test environment and test data management
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including working with remote teams

• Minimum 3 years of experience in writing Selenium tests using Java or Javascript, with knowledge of Web Driver, Web Driver IO, Marathon, Appium, etc.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with test runners like Junit, TestNG, Mocha, Jasmine
• Minimum 3 years of experience with CI tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Selenium Grid
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Minimum 1 year of experience using Jira for defect tracking
• Minimum 2 years of experience using Quality Center/ALM for test case management
• Proficiency in SQL for backend database validation
• Preference for recent experience utilizing Selenium and Agile methodologies
• Familiarity with SAFe Agile approach is preferred
• Ability to develop and maintain functional automation test scripts using modular frameworks and best practices
