We have a current need for a Quality Assurance Analyst II focusing on automation within our Life Sciences division. This would be a contract to hire so any individual submitted should want to adjust to full-time employment after 6 months.  All candidate must meet the requirements for the position and the individual should not require any immigration assistance. We do not want to be in a situation where we cannot convert the contractor due to immigration processing.  A conference call will be scheduled for next week to review this requirement in more detail.  Salary should be in the neighborhood of 65 – 80K.  Confirmation of a background check and drug testing will need to be provided for the individual that is selected since this position is within our Life Sciences division.  The selected candidate will be expected to report onsite to our Bakery Square facility so they must reside in Pittsburgh or the immediate area.

Responsibilities

1. Build an automated testing platform for both web and mobile products: the ability to envision and create scripts for automated app testing is essential to this position
2. Analyze system and business process requirements and design test strategies, test plans, and test cases to ensure test coverage
3. Execute manual and automated tests at all test phases to verify application readiness for production implementation
4. Work with the project team to ensure quality throughout the product lifecycle, including reviewing specifications and identifying and resolving software defects
5. Validate developer-implemented resolutions to defects
6. Configure and manage test environments for software testing
7. Perform continuous risk identification with appropriate escalation
8. Identify, track, and report effective Quality metrics

Required Skills:

1. Requires a four-year technical degree or equivalent experience
2. Requires a four-year technical degree or equivalent experience
3. Minimum two years related work experience in Software Quality Assurance testing and analysis including experience with automated testing
4. Experience in automation and testing GUI applications (web and mobile), Javascript, and backend database functionality
5. Experience defining test strategies, test plans, comprehensive test cases, and scripts
6. Experience with all types of testing: Functional, System, Integration, Regression, Exploratory, Negative
7. Ability to analyze requirements and ability to elicit additional information concerning requirements from stakeholders
8. Excellent communication, project management, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
9. Ability to utilize automation testing tools, preferably Test-Complete, Selenium
10. Proficiency in JavaScript for scripting automated tests.
11. Experience in mobile test automation using Appium 
12. Experience or working knowledge of object-oriented programming (C++/C#/Java), is a plus
13. Performance and security testing experience is a plus.
14. HL7 Interface testing and data migration testing experience is a plus
15. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
16. Knowledge of performance and security testing practices.
17. Write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity and backend testing.

Hybrid in-office (2 to 3 days a week mandatory), candidates must currently live in the Pittsburgh, PA region or be willing to relocate
