Position: Project Manager – Banking Domain (Accounts Receivables)
Location: New York City (3 Days Onsite Required)
Job Description:
The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager with expertise in the Banking Domain, specifically Accounts Receivables, to support the MARS Transformation Initiative. This individual will work closely with Technical Product Owners and collaborate with Scrum teams to drive the development of product features and capabilities. The Project Manager will be responsible for translating product roadmaps into clear, actionable backlogs and user stories, working across multiple departments and teams to ensure successful product delivery. This position requires strong Agile and JIRA experience, along with the ability to communicate effectively and manage stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Backlog Management: Translate and communicate the product roadmap into a well-defined product backlog with clear features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaboration with Teams: Work with Technical Product Owners, product managers, and engineers to understand and prioritize product features across multiple platforms and products.
- Modernization of Products & Workflows: Review existing products and workflows to identify and recommend opportunities for modernization and improvement.
- Strategic Analysis & Solution Recommendations: Use analytical skills and strategic insight to identify trends and recommend solutions that will improve the overall user experience.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Communicate and build consensus across multiple departments, teams, and partners to define and document software product and platform requirements.
- Partnership with Technology Teams: Collaborate with other product and technology teams to ensure seamless development, testing, and delivery of product features.
- Post-Launch Tracking & Reporting: Ensure appropriate tracking and reporting mechanisms are in place to monitor product performance post-launch, and evaluate opportunities for future enhancements or investment.
- Product Demos: Lead and perform demos with key team members to showcase success, new features, and metrics of improvement.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Banking Domain Experience: Strong background in the banking domain, with specific experience in Accounts Receivables or related areas.
- Project Management Expertise: Proven experience managing projects in an Agile environment, ideally with Scrum teams and using tools like JIRA for backlog management.
- Product Management Knowledge: Experience working with product managers and technical product owners to define product features and capabilities.
- Agile Methodologies: Proficiency in Agile project management practices, including backlog creation, sprint planning, and facilitating cross-functional communication.
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze existing workflows, identify trends, and develop strategic recommendations for product improvements.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent ability to communicate across various levels of the organization, building consensus and aligning stakeholders around shared goals.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting and presentations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with MARS Transformation Initiatives or similar banking transformation projects is a plus.
- Familiarity with modernization strategies for banking products and workflows.
