Duration = 48 weeks
Business Hours = Monday – Friday normal business hours
Location = 100% onsite – will send the locations as soon as I have them (willing to relocate anywhere in US)
Target Start Date 8/5/24
Citizenship requirement – Must be authorized to work in the US
Max Hourly Rate = $70/hr on C2C
Must have skills
- PowerEdge Server experience
- RHEL and Ubuntu OS
- Experience working in a larger server environment
Nice to Have
- Break/Fix experience
Project Tasks
Ø Support Day to Day Data Center activities
Ø Escort dispatched field engineers
Ø Parts shipping/receiving management etc.
Ø Maintain documentation of the environment: serial numbers, elevations, runbooks, etc.
Ø Coordinates with Colo staff for any maintenance activities: power maintenance, cooling maintenance, containment wall maintenance, etc.
Ø Performs firmware, code, BIOS lifecycle management, adding users, patching
Ø OS Configuration
Ø Works at the direction of the customer team to update versions as needed
Ø Triage with Dell support for Scheduling FSE break/fix activities
Ø Proactively notified customer of any server issues
Ø Resident opens SR, works with support to resolve issues. Captures logs, follows recommended troubleshooting from support
Ø Assistance with firmware upgrades (if applicable)
Ø Manage Dell On Part Logistics program
Important to note the selected candidate will need to agree to the following:
- Complete PowerEdge XE online training (approximately 8 hours)
- Travel to Round Rock TX for PowerEdge XE training (3 days). Note this would be a T&E expense exclusive of the hourly rate
- Complete Dell On Part Logistics program
