Need experience over PowerCerv and Sybase
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a skilled PowerBuilder Consultant to support their operations at a Texas-based site running the PowerCerv application on a Sybase database. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in PowerBuilder development and experience supporting legacy systems. This role offers flexible work options, including part-time remote support or full-time onsite work for local Texas-based candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the PowerCerv application developed in PowerBuilder
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, working with Sybase database back-end
- Assist in performance optimization, bug fixing, and feature enhancement as needed
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver reliable solutions
- Document technical changes and provide knowledge transfer as needed
- Required Qualifications:
- Strong experience with PowerBuilder development
- Hands-on experience with PowerCerv application
- Proficiency with Sybase database and SQL
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a legacy environment
- Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
