Role: Power BI Developer

 Job Responsibilities:

As a Power BI Developer with Financial Reporting Experience, you will be instrumental in translating complex financial data into actionable insights and reports. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Collaborating with finance and business teams to understand intricate financial data requirements and reporting needs.
2. Designing and developing advanced Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations focused on financial analysis, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
3. Creating and optimizing data models to enable efficient querying and reporting on large financial datasets.
4. Integrating data from diverse financial systems and sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
5. Implementing advanced DAX calculations to derive key financial metrics and KPIs.
6. Ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards and data security protocols.
7. Developing and maintaining executive-level financial dashboards that provide real-time insights to stakeholders.
8. Assisting in data governance and data quality initiatives to maintain the integrity of financial data.
9. Providing training and support to finance teams in effectively using Power BI for financial analysis and reporting.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
2. Proven experience as a Power BI Developer with a strong focus on financial reporting and analysis.
3. Demonstrated expertise in designing and developing complex financial reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI Desktop.
4. In-depth knowledge of financial concepts, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial ratios.
5. Strong experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and working with financial data structures.
6. Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating sophisticated financial calculations and measures.
7. Familiarity with financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and compliance requirements.
8. Experience integrating data from financial systems such as ERP, CRM, and spreadsheets.
9. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with finance teams and gather reporting requirements.
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data.
11. Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) are advantageous.
12. Knowledge of SQL and other programming languages is a plus.
