Job Description
Technical Expertise:
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) upgrade, implementation, migration, patching, and database upgrades.
• Expertise in cloning and patching both EBS and non-EBS databases.
• Strong understanding of Oracle backup and recovery strategies.
• Extensive experience in migrating code, implementing database changes, and managing Oracle quarterly patch installations.
• Proficient in Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), with expertise in PCP setup and troubleshooting.
• Skilled in analyzing and applying GI Patchsets, OJVM PSU patches (for both Applications and Databases), Oracle Security Alert Patches, and timely recommended patch upgrades. Expertise in handling EBS maintenance packs, bug fixes, TAR/SR creation, escalation, and issue resolution. Maintains comprehensive patch logs and version control.
• Proficient in utilizing Oracle tools such as OEM Grid Control, Quest Tools, Export/Import Tools, and RMAN for backups. Experience in setting up alerts and performing proactive and preventive maintenance.
• Knowledgeable in iSupplier and DMZ configuration.
• Capable of fine-tuning concurrent processing in large EBS environments.
• Extensive experience as an Oracle Apps DBA, with R12.1 and R12.2 expertise throughout all stages of the lifecycle.
• Demonstrated experience with multiple operating systems including Linux, Unix, Solaris, Windows, and physical database design.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware applications and Oracle WebLogic.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experienced in managing and upgrading Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c and higher.
• Expertise in Oracle database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Strong background in backup and recovery of large databases, including Tape and RMAN online backups.
• Working knowledge of Tablespace Encryption and Oracle Advanced Security Tools.
• Proficient with SQL Developer, TOAD, and Grid Control.
• Skilled in shell scripting and automation.
• Proficient in managing databases within a multi-tenant architecture.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Oracle GoldenGate.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain thorough documentation.
• Knowledge of SQL and MySQL is desirable.
